BTW GSykes, I watched your video the other day (the recent one) and thought it was excellent. Any plans to make more?

My Poo Bah post. I'll just put it here instead of start a thread:

If you face postflop aggression when you were the pfr, fold all hands except the nuts. End.

I often C/R c-bets from PFRs and they usually fold nicely.

Well, I am running very well today. People call 3bets OOP with T9o and flop trips all the time. I just seem to have lost my flopping skills today. But this hand was a nice last one for my session.

Prima Network No-Limit Hold'em, $0.20 BB (6 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com

Hero ($19.90)
Button ($27.00)
SB ($20.50)
BB ($13.57)
UTG ($44.65)
MP ($30.99)

Preflop: Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP raises to $0.8, Hero raises to $3, 3 folds, MP calls $2.20.

Flop: ($6.30) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $3, MP calls $3.

Turn: ($12.30) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP checks, Hero checks.

River: ($12.30) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP bets $12.3, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $24.60

Results in white below:
MP has 3c 4c (one pair, aces).
Outcome: MP wins $24.60.

christ does ev1 have a gf? where can i buy one?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, everyone does. Its a nice stress-relief some of the time. The other times... not so much.

Also, if the rake at Windsor is like that, I'm playing 2/5 or something 'worth it'.

Don't forget the toke when you figure in the rake.

253 hands on him. Up $25.
Don't knock shortstacking, I ran at a good 10PTBB/100 shortstacking for like 3 days once back in the day. 8-10 tabling. 4th day was losing day, but it was on different site. It's swingy, but if you are good @ it, I'd say you can make a nice profit doing it at 50NL.

[/ QUOTE ]

What's the general strategy? Push or fold, pre-flop or flop? I can't imagine ever seeing a turn before I'm all-in with $10 at a 50NL table. If you're a solid player, seems like you're giving up a lot of EV by purposely playing short-stacked.

[/ QUOTE ]
There are different short stack strategies. The most common is: 20 BB, wait for a premium hand, get it in as soon as possible. I tried that for some time and there is huge variance involved, because people will call you extremely light and if you are g00t, you can maintain a winrate of about 1.5ptbb/100. There are some other strategies, like the one described in PNL. When you are playing mostly TP hands, you should play with somehwere around 60BB because that will create favorable stack sizes.
Playing 6max with a "pure" SSS is pretty unprofitable, because you pay the blinds too often and the rake is too high on uNL. It's really hard to beat, since you often win only like 12 BB but lose the whole 20BB stack the rest of the time. I wasn't too successfull with the 60BB approach either, because I like to have more room for maneuvers, i.e. stealing etc. But 100BB is actually a pretty awkward stack sizes. It's actually better to play either 60 or 200 BBs.

*****UPDATE*****

Thanks to everybody who PM'd me. I read them all and basically just took the first 4 which were BishopsFinger, ama0330, xeanatic and NL Newbie. If things don't go well and i feel as though i need some more experience before charging people then i'll take the next few names in my PM box as long as they are still interested.

To the 4 of you, i am at a mates house atm but i'll pm you all my AIM sn as soon as i get back (sometime this evening) and we can go from there.

thanks

Fletch
