ticks, I wasn't commenting on foreign ownership. If someone wants to buy a club, and build a winner, fans should support that. [/ QUOTE ] Sorry, I read and hear all this crap so I sort of attributed it to you. I agree with your post. Some Liverpool fans will have a bad taste in their mouth. But I dont care. I am happy. |

To be honest, I don't know how Americans would respond if one of our flagship franchises were bought by a foreigner(non N. American) company. I know a portion of the Mariners are owned by a Japanese guy. But if a billionare Saudi decided to buy the NY Giants, people would [censored] a brick. So from an outside POV, its not a big deal, but if I was British I may think differently.

All, a few games today. Charlton won(!) with a sick injury time free kick to end the game. Good for them! :P
Also, Tottenham won 2-1, Aaron Lennon with a cheap shot on Boateng. Not impressed Comrade Lennon. |

I don't really follow soccer, so if there's a seperate champs league thread I'm sorry. Arsenal - Porto has the shortest ever odds to be a draw this week. Obviously both sides need a draw BUT the odds have never reflected this much before. The draw price is usually around +280 in these situations, +335 otherwise. It's approximately -120 this week. Expect a dire game unless there's a goal very early. Lori [/ QUOTE ] Anyone who gets the chance to see the last 2-3 mins should see this. Lori |

And in championship news four Sunderland players are in the Sun today after filming themselves in a 6 on 1 "Roasting" Orgy, one of them was let go over the summer two of them have been farmed out on loan with rumours of the other one going out as well.
Apparently we are also after Rossi once his loan at the skunks ends. |

Perhaps his extra-curricular activities are helping his form.... Link to story: http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2006560592,00.html |
