Can FIFA allow this? A ruler of a country buying a team?
Either way, be interesting to see Liverpool fans view of Chelsea. |

[ QUOTE ] Arsenal cruise to a 3-0 win against Tottenham. Two PK goals by Gilberto, another goal by Adebayor, who looked real good. [/ QUOTE ] so much for this variance we talked about. 3 botched calls=3 arsenal goals. offside not called, foul when player got ball for pk, foul on flop for pk, horray refs/complaining arsenal fans... rj [/ QUOTE ]I finally saw the replay of the Ronaldo flop. Dude, you have some stones to make your above comment |

Can FIFA allow this? A ruler of a country buying a team? Either way, be interesting to see Liverpool fans view of Chelsea. [/ QUOTE ] Meh, I am a grown man. Adequately cynical in other words. Football is big business, and foreign ownership is not new to the premiership. As a non-scouse, non-briton 'pool supporter I dont care much for the anti-foreigner sentiments some have anyways. I am glad we got this money, and I hope we will continue to go about our business in a sensible, ethical way. And as for Chelsea, I always thought the criticism of 'all that money' sounded hypocritical - especially coming from the fans of big clubs like Liverpool and Man U. Besides, it takes more than just money to succeed. (Though you wont get far without it) PS: It is not the ruler itself that is the buyer, but DIC, a consortium. |

ticks, I wasn't commenting on foreign ownership. If someone wants to buy a club, and build a winner, fans should support that.
