There are a lot of war movies where the "bad guy" wins or the main character(s) die. Glory and Braveheart instantly come to mind.

I'd also like to submit the second short story of Creepshow 2. For those who have seen this classic, its the one with the floating blob in the lake with the raft on it that eats all the horny pot smoking teens.

The Green Mile wins this thing easily folks. EASILY. Yeah the big guy wanted to die but it's beyond ridiculous they went through with this. Yeah Tom Hanks was cursed for his in-actions but it still doesn't make things right.

How can seven be in the list.
Kevin spacey does get Brad Pitt to shoot him (wrath as a sin) but he does get killed. so he wins but then he dies so not really.

[/ QUOTE ]

Of course Spacey wins. Getting Pitt's character to kill him was the final touch to his 'masterpiece.'

I guess Blow could definitely be considered here.

Tragedy =/ Bad guy winning. Actually, I think his legacy wins, so it could kinda be looked at as the good guy winning. Oh, and this movie sucked.

QFT, saying that Spacey loses is on par with saying William Wallace lost in Braveheart. Every man dies, not every man truly lives. (You're goddamn right I had that poster in my dorm room...)
