Re: SSNL POKER [cheese] thread SEPT
He's like 24/12 has been quiet. Standard, right? Reeeally don't feel like 4betting vs unknown here.

Re: SSNL POKER [cheese] thread SEPT
looks good BG, you only beat air/TT and he seems pretty straight forward.

Re: SSNL POKER [cheese] thread SEPT
I like the way i played this hand:
At first i thought insta fold, but then i saw flop, and the fact that it was a 50/14/3, and thought that he could do this with alot of busted straight draws. And with a K or the nuts. Sometimes a J. And since a Q or T is a pretty big part of his range i called. Good reasoning? and i shoulda made the flop more prolly Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $115.69 BB: $99.25 UTG: $106.29 MP: $175.81 Hero (CO): $111.06 BTN: $102.91 Preflop: Hero is dealt 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players) UTG folds, MP calls $1.00, Hero raises to $4.50, 3 folds, MP calls $3.50 Flop: ($10.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) MP checks, Hero bets $6.00, MP calls $6.00 Turn: ($22.50) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) MP checks, Hero checks River: ($22.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) MP bets $17.00, Hero calls $17.00 Pot Size: $56.50 ($3.32 Rake) MP had 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (a pair of Kings) and LOST (-$27.50) Hero had 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (two pairs, Kings and Nines) and WON (+$25.68) |

Re: SSNL POKER [cheese] thread SEPT
I usually check that flop shizzle. Ur basically bluffing into a board that fits so many ranges. I'm sure there's arguements for betting though.

Re: SSNL POKER [cheese] thread SEPT
This month is starting off reallllly bad. It's one of those days where I have good hands and people keep hitting strange hands that I have to pay off.
Also, I suck. |

[ QUOTE ]
what do you think about sbrugby's most recent holdem video (not the PLO one). He open limped on the button with 89s claiming that it was a good spot to do so because one of the blinds was 3betting really wide. he said he felt that if the aggro guy just raised from the blinds, he can call, and have position the rest of the hand with lots of postflop play. but if he open raises, and gets 3bet...if he decides to call in position hes got less play after the flop. do you think this play is defendable? in green plastic's latest video he thinks open limping on the button is a weak play. is sbrugby just talking crap? ive seen posts where people ask if this is viable or not. people obviously say no. but since sbrugby has advocated this im curious as to whether or not people's views will change... [/ QUOTE ] i think limping seems weak. even if he's 3betting a lot, i don't think it would be enough to discount the value of stealing the blinds and/or playing a pot in position vs. a coldcaller the times you don't get reraised. i even think minraising would be acceptable and maybe optimal depending on opponents. |
