I'm done with minbet for the time being (FT hu tables turned to [censored]) but I'd be happy with 20k hands and $12k including rakeback at 1/2nl-3/6nl. And to not feel stupid whenever I talk to a more experienced nl player.

Gild-

what do you mean the LHE HU tables went to [censored]? Fish all gone, all regs, something else?

I was considering learning how to play HU LHE because I like HU and it seems fun and I get bored waiting for opponents.

There are a limited amount of tables that can be created on FT for HU games (as I understand) and there aren't a lot of games going, not nearly as much as nl hu. In the past few months, there has been an increase in mt'ing regulars which is much more destructive at HU than at 6-max. If you get a few extra tags at a six-max table, meh your winrate will go down but there are still other fish at the table. If you have gehrig and FatalFog and whoever else taking up 8 tables of 15/30, and fish usually sit down at the first table that is opened, and you have good game selection against solid regulars, you are basically [censored].

This means I have to play at 10/20 hu limit and since I can only really play 2-3 tables at once, it just doesn't make sense anymore. I need a 20,000 US bankroll to play hu limit just to handle the swings at 10/20 and $6000 bankroll to 6-table insanely easy, low-variance 1/2nl and they basically have the same winrate. Which would you choose?

The only way limit hu makes sense is to play 15/30+ and the games are just too tough for me to break through right now with way too many solid regs. Also, I asked like 6 people to coach me and all the hu limit specialists refused either because I have more experience than they do and they didn't feel comfortable coaching or we were playing the same games.

I don't play much limit six-max so I can't really comment on those games but from this thread it looks like all the main site games have turned to [censored] too.

hmmm, thanks

i would never play 6m limit, but sometimes when im bored/tilted ill play 20/40 lhe hu and ive run hot recently, so thinking it might be good.

i wonder why the tables arent uncapped like they are at NL HU thru 10/20?

I don't think they get enough action to uncap it...

here's gehrig's post that pretty much sums it up

They tried it for like 1 day but the bots automatically opened up about 500 tables of them sitting alone and they had to limit the number.

that makes a lot more sense than my explanation

so it is confirmed that the limit is 12.
