I'm not anymore. I've done a lot of different work. I'm in the brutal field of IT recruiting atm. And I'm about to get into special education (playing poker) full time.

I know what you are saying, but I honestly believe there are people who would sleep just fine once the adrenaline faded. My conscience would be clear if I were in OPs situation.

anyone saying OPs friend was wrong is themselves wrong and should try to rob a party at gunpoint.

anyone who is saying they would sleep like a baby after capping this guy is a retard. no the [censored] you wouldn't, unless you're [censored] buffalo bill or somebody like that. STFU you josey wales wannabe mother [censored].

[/ QUOTE ]

I truly, honestly don't think I'd feel the slightest shred of regret or remorse.

I would sleep well.

I also think that anyone who says they would'nt lose sleep after capping someone is full of [censored].

I saw a dead body in the trunk of a car (Sopranos'esq) a few months back and it shook me up for like two-three days afterwards. The real thing is alot different than TV.

Are the people who have a problem with this still bugged if the apt owner had not given the guy a warning? For some reason it would make me feel less icky without the warning, since I guess it seems the apt owner had the clear upper hand when he had the gun to the guy's head, making the killing "less" necessary.

Though [censored] I'd probably still do it. Why take the chance

I think the killing is justified, but all you hardasses who are parading over this are retarded. Somewhere some family is intensely grieving because their bone-head of a son got his brains blown out. No side of this is pretty.

If everything went down as described he acted accordingly IMO. Villain even disregarded the warning and was holding a gun.

A criminal with a gun is serious business you don`t fool around. I got robbed at gunpoint 3 times and got almost shot once. Also, my father is alive, cause my mother was holding a 357 and acted fast against some mugs with a shotgun ...

I used to be against guns.

"A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged" goes the old saying.

I would much rather keep $1000 on me and pay them that to leave if that meant I wouldn't have to shoot someone in the head. Maybe more, like $5k.

[/ QUOTE ]

Fine. So you'll start today?

What is your friend going to use to get all the blood and brain fragments out of his carpet? It sucks that he is going to have to pay for carpet cleaners to come in. If I was your friend I would sue the robbers families for the cost of cleaning my carpet.

Ummm... I would just move. Think of everytime you come in your living room you will remember you blew a guys head off in there.

For emotional health, it's time to move.

Would it be the same for you if you owned the place rather than rented?

I read a while back that there tends to be little or no regret in most people who have shot criminals in their home.

I think this is very different than seeing a corpse somewhere. You don't know the story, but it just seems wrong, sad, and cruel. Someone you killed who was doing wrong, so you and/or your family could live, probably feels to most people like you've done something very right. Whatever I read, referred to above, said as much. (Don't remember where I read it now, but oh well.)
