Since i don't really play O/8 and would just be getting this out of curiousity and to perhaps learn a little bit I don't think I will be qualified to give a report.

They could have some strategic errors in there (subtle, or not-so-subtle) and I likely wouldn't be able to identify them just because I'm fairly clueless about the game.

Default This isn\'t a Wizard, it\'s a Willard

Old Man: "Hey, Morty, what's wrong with these tip calculators?"
Morty: "What are you talking about?"
Old Man: "It's overtipping. I just left five bucks for a BLT."
Morty: "This isn't a Wizard, it's a Willard."
Jerry: "A Willard? Saccamano, Sr. screwed me!"
Old Man #2: "Mine doesn't have a seven!"
Old Man #3: "I'm ruined!"
Morty: "Jerry, why didn't you get them Wizards?"
Jerry: "Because a real Wizard's two hundred dollars."
Morty: "You didn't have a deal?"
Jerry: "No deal. Not hot."
Old Man: "Morty, you, and Kramer, you're finished."
Kramer: "What?"
Old Man: "Everyone vote for the guy in the wheelchair."

I'm not really a huge fan...but interestingly I just happened to see this part of that episode just a couple nights ago (I did vaguely remember seeing this one before though)

From what I could tell, the Tenner and Krieger's book was the only decent reading on O8 along with Cappelleti's book.

Tenner and Kriegers book is ok if you have nothing else to spend the points on. I haven't read Capetelli.

The O/8 forum here is a better resource in general.

"ok if you have nothing else to spend the points on" is probably good enough for me.

Thanks for the advice.

I love Party. With my easily reachable Accelerator bonus and points that are worth something I can't imagine ever leaving. Points are so important for kepping bad players playing that they would be welcome even if I didn't get any.

Points are the only thing that will always grow. As a bad player throws away money he keeps coming back until he has enough to get the Ipod, or the pimp watch. I really think they have an impact as a motivator that is far above the price of the item.

Yeah yeah I know. I meant the only decent book focusing specifically on 08. Super System II's section is also supposed to be quite good, but again, that's only a part of the book it's in, and wouldn't it be good to have a nice, basic primer on 08 before getting into Zee's book?

And Bob, you are at least as qualified as anyone else to decide whether a poker book is well-organized, easy to understand, etc. even if you can't calculate the EV of the strategies involved.

Meh, I want the 4 gig Nano. However, given that this is Party, I'm going to order the 2 gig and be happy they finally threw us a bone.

You had your chances to get the towel, they are collectors items now.
