OP is kind of choppy, but these transfers can take time especially with a new website. Maybe the charge was "pending".

Anyway, is Cake Poker supposed to have some great attraction that justifies the attention it gets?

Well it's a skin for a site with the biggest (I think?) sportsbook on the net and sports gamblers are notoriously bad poker players.

I think the games were really soft 6 months ago but with the massive influx of 2+2ers it isn't even worth checking out anymore.

So his "lock out" has NOTHING to do with this cakepoker escapade.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sure...Reef has failed to post emails in their entirety. He has even gone as far as having a screenshot of an email showing only what he wants to show. Why not just screenshot the entire conversation? I think something is missing here as pointed out by Mr Haven. He then follows it up by self banning himself for 3 weeks until this entire thing blows over.

Something doesnt seem right.

[/ QUOTE ]

add to what I said before:

I know of at least 3 other times reef has self banned...this self banning has NOTHING to do with cakepoker. It has everything to do with; he spends too much time on 2+2 (evident from his crud load of posts) He knows that once he starts reading 2+2, it's just a time sink. Similiar to how WoW or evercrack sink other people's time.

So, wanting to focus on his mom, little sisters, high school friends (and SUPER nice weather/beaches) he decided to self ban like he has multiple times in the past. After all, I think this is only the 2nd time he's visited his family in the past 12 months (christmas was the last I can remember)

So like I said before, his self banning has NOTHING to do with cake.

Reef shouldn't be let near a computer he's too dumb. In fact he should just go somewhere. It's clear from what he has posted that he just goes out of his way to make trouble.... making numerous threats. Why not give people a break.. you emailed them..they fixed the problem..that should have been the end of things...to go on to make threats was a real loser thing to do.

I'm 100% in support of cake poker.

Good for you. You are 100% in favor of a site that allows its employees to lash out at customers like 12 year olds. We all have different priorities.

Reef may have handled this less than appropriately, but he certainly isn't dumb.

Maybe Reef made the same error in judgment that you did when you stated that Reef should "just go somewhere."

This whole incident really concerns me cuz it seems Cake doesn't care how it looks to customers/us. The only thing that keeps the sites legit is their image in the marketplace, eg. they don't just close accounts and keep the money because we raise a stink and they look bad. The fact that Cake just isn't trying at all to clear this up and was totally unprofessional to OP means they aren't being bound by popular opinion.

Again I don't think anyone can make a judgement about either side in this matter without all the emails to and from customer and support. I actually can't see that much wrong with Reef's initial email, if his purchase messed up he has a right to be angry and Cake should have taken care of the purchase. From the snippets of emails posted though I do think we're missing some emails to Cake from Reef and vice versa. I don't think anyone should be making judgements about Reef or Cake without the full unedited correspondence and I don't think either side is going to provide it here, but I don't see how anyone can be on Cakes or Reefs side without knowing exactly what was said in those emails. Would you convict someone in court just from hearing evidence from the prosecution and without giving the defence a chance to refute that evidence? This is what a lot of people in this thread are doing with both Reef and Cake.

I emailed them that I would not be joining them ever after reading this post and got the following response.

Thank you for your email. Apologies but unfortunately we are unable to discuss the player’s account who posted on this forum with a third party. It is unfortunate that you have come to this conclusion about CakePoker without having access to all the facts in this particular issue, but this is of course your prerogative and we wish you the best of luck wherever you decide to play your Poker.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Kind Regards,

Sean
