Well, once he read the rules of the game, he started playing much better. Since I have yet to fully grasp the concept of the game (ie, when is a stone or group of stones cut off if it's not in a circle), I'm pretty sure 9 stones is enough for him to whoop me soundly.

Hell, next game he could whip me with it starting even. I have no clue.
