[/ QUOTE ] Darn, I'm really considering moving to Vancouver from Toronto, I just love Van city so much. Been thinking about it for some time but I've heard home prices there were out of control. Reading this thread I'm really having second thoughts, some of the prices are just outrageous for a complete dump. |

That is sick. I was just in SF last week and I took a drive down to San Bruno to play some cards at Artichoke Joe's. The homes out there are small, so today I go on Zillow to check out the prices and the average is like 800K for that town. lol. I can get probably 2400 SQFT here in Houston for 150K. But it's Houston. Not San Francisco.

How is texas so cheap?
I mean it has several huge cities, some of which have headquarters of nice businesses, and a stream of illegals coming over the boarder. Are house prices going to skyrocket in the next 5 years? Also how do new homeowners afford to live in the SF Bay Area? I mean my house is prolly in the 1.8m-2.1m neighborhood, but thats b/c my parents bought it 20 years ago when prices were not insane. |
