Tons of fun hands lately even though I still cant heat up.

Deano, a regular raises late, I 3-bet AA, he 4 bets (hes drunk and on tilt) I call. He dark shots flop I dark call. He dark bets turn I dark raise he calls. River-check, bet, call. I table AA he only sees 1 A then triumphantly tables AK and sees then notices the other A.

Also, even though I lost a few hundred for the session I finally played a hand that felt good. I open A6d in the HJ folded to fishy sb who calls, bb comes along.

Flop:A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Sb donks, bb calls, I raise, both call.

Turn:K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Sb donks, bb calls, I raise, both call.

River:8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Sb donks, bb folds, I raise, sb 3bets, I 4bet, he calls.

Table confirmed after he left that he had the ole T9d.

Just remembered this hand from a while ago CP 15-30.

I limp in EP with 52s, some decent TAG who is running bad raised. (I recently raised him on flop w/ Q2s bkdoor flush draw and went runner runner flush, check raised him which he responded to must be a set while calling and I sheepishly flipped over the good ole' Q2.) Folded to BB who calls.

Flop comes 4 K 10 R or something like this, checked to villian who bets BB and I call. Turn is an ace BB checks, I bet, villian raises, bb folds i call. River is a 3 i c/r him to which he responds again, must be a set huh and then calls. One of the few times I almost felt to embarassed to flip over my cards.

For those not in the know:

72o = the hammer
42s = Big Gamble
53s = Little Gamble

I'm pretty whatever about the hammer because it's pretty weak with its lack of straight and flush draws and the fact that everbody "knows" its the weakest hand in holdem, so its forgivable that you pass on that hand here and there, kind of like how you'd sometimes 3-bet or fold AJo.

However, it is absolutely unforgivable to ever fold Big or Little Gamble before the flop for any amount of bets. In fact, they are the perfect coldcalling 3 hands because when good players call 3 cold, people will always put you on QQ, JJ, or AK, so you gain a lot of deception value by balancing your range out because in limit holdem the most important thing is to not be readable and of course its so damn fun to announce your hand at showdown.

Guess I shoudln't have continued w/ 52 on a 4 k 10 board, I mean I did have a runner runner str8 draw!

Anyways, for the CP regs, how has it been so far this summer, lots of young wanna be pros, and drunk donks?

played a live nl rebuy tourney tonight with crazy blind levels, couldn't build more than an average stack, about 15 mins after the break I raised AQ utg, got reraised all in by some dude I had covered, got 2:1 on it so made the easy call, lost to A8, then tried to tripple up with Q10s, but lost to p5, exit tourney

played some sh 15-30 with 2 good players and 2 mediocre players, lost the biggest pot of the evening when this dude 2-outered me on the river (~22bb), only called his river bet, bc I knew I was toast

then the game broke up and I had no other choice than to move to the nl game where I made some nice monies

I'm actually considering to move back to no limit again bc I'm not sure how much more of the ass raping I can handle
