Re: Great anonymous interview about being a broke player
FWIW, I played 1-2 NL at the South Point last week with Kenna James, he wasn't wearing his wedding ring and seemed like he was going through some tough times.

Re: Great anonymous interview about being a broke player
I think you can also narrow it down with the tone of the answers. The apathetic-life sucks-I suck-but what can do-woe is me attitude eliminates quite a few people (although if you catch anyone on the right/wrong day). But listening to Flack over and over at Mirage it certainly could be him - right attitude. I've been told Arieh has the exact same attitude these days but I haven't witnessed it. I just don't think the Bodog thing is a big score. Also, the golf thing really points to Flack.
At Mirage, Flack was trying to give away his chips. He was pissed off from the start and was telling everyone he didn't want to be there. He went all in in level 1 with 79o (or something like that, don't remember) after the flop on a dry board with absolutely nothing, got called by AQ I think and happened to catch a 9. He said something like "I guess I have to stick around." And then on the 1st break sat around and complained to the dealer about how his life sucks. |
