After reading this thread I took two 2k shortstack tries at 25/50. Lost AK vs 44 900 preflop and rest 1100 on 883 flop and then QQ vs AJ all in preflop. Doh. -4k in 25/50 for u sharks. Should pay your rake for a few days.

The first thing you guys should do is LEARN TO PLAY AGAINST SHORTSTACKS. The reason they infest your games is because players play so bad against them. Trust me when I say it that they want you to make a spewy call with any 2 when they push. When you make bad plays just to try to get rid of them, they profit. Instead of getting rid of them, you are just giving them a reason to come back.

empiremaker - don't you play about 11/9 7+ handed? maybe that's not pertinent here.

I don't think shortstacks make much, if any, money.

YEa since my stats are 23-19 on databases.....U [censored] idiot.

Maybe thats why you are a long term loser in 9 handed games, and ask whinnie for lessons(your words, not mine)

And I think its bullshlt that you guys say short stacking is wrong.

It's not YOUR place to make the rules of the game so that YOU get the most +EV. Even if your rules require more skill.

Is it fair for me to say we should all play with 500BB's for exactly 5 hours at a highspeed table 3 handed. Just because I think that requires the most skill. And I think thats "real poker".

No. Pokerstars made THEIR games by THEIR rules for THEIR players. And there are moreplayers than just the people that post on this message board. And those players like to buy in for less than the full amount.

You guys are just upset because these short stackers come in to your turf and make a shltload of money(relatively speaking), and cut into your bottom line.

easy fella.

I don't play this game a ton but I have played 1,968 hands with you in it and in those hands average number of players is 6.73 and I have your stats at 11.69 VPIP / 9.71 PFR.

I've done a decent amount of work with databases and vpip/pfr converge relatively quickly - are their big databases out there that show you as 23/19 full ring? I'm pretty sure I have you as even tighter than that in 6 max but I'm not really interested in a big fight and am not going to even go dig up my old party databases.

it seems like you dont know how to filter for number of players and that this includes your HU and 3 handed play. so who's the idiot?
there is 0% chance that your vpip is over 20 for 7 a handed or more games. And very very unlikely it's even over 15. AT least at the 25/50 level. maybe you lag it up when you play 5/10

Who says the shortstackers are going to be forced to continue playing in the 25/50 games? Are they not allowed to just opt not to play if the rules are changed?

Your analogy sucks.
