On Friday freaking night? Just got home from supper with some friends and my wife says, "hey I want to play some poker, I think I'll sign up for a tourney or S&G." Cool, I'll play a little LHE. Not gonna happen.lol FT seems to go down at the worst possible times.lol

FWIW This is pretty weak. I worked for a company that pulled in 5-10 mil per year. Said company had a completely separate data center from the main one (aprox 60 miles away). The database was mirrored between the two sites -- if the primary data center was completely destroyed the server at the secondary site would be up within a minute or two with no loss of data.

Its possible that their pipe is down but I doubt it. Even so, the company I worked for had a backup microwave link in case this happened. These extended downtimes boggle my mind, no excuse really for a company that pulls in what FT does.

Good post LeapFrog. Major companies/sites that make fractions of he money these poker sites do would never allow their site to be down for this long. On top of that, if for some horrible reason they were down for an extended period of time, they would have a detailed statement available almost immediately explaining the outage.
