Brag - I beat Freebird on Expert on my first try.

Beat - I can't get past 55% on Jordan to save my life.

Variance - Addicted to beatmania.

I got my first 100% yesterday, "Tattooed Love Boys" on Medium.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's Medium, but 100% is 100%. Nice job.

[/ QUOTE ]

Funny...this was the first 100% I got also. (I played through Easy much later just to get the bonus guitars.)

Am I the only one having trouble on Expert when their is a row of Pull-offs in a row? I can't think of a certain song, but when it goes into a combo of "O/B/Y..O/B/Y..O/B/Y" for however long, I cannot do it. When they are alone I have no problem, but together I can't do it for anything

One big mistake many people make is doing the pull off too fast. Make sure you're pulling off each note in rhythm. A good way to practice this is to play songs with long slow HOs/POs and don't strum a whole big section unless you need to. Try playing songs like Jessica, Gemini, or Laid to Rest and strum as little as possible. You can hit 10 or 20 notes with one strum sometimes. Once you have that down, when you encounter a run of fast OBYs or BYRs, just concentrate on the first note in the run. For example, for the fast OBYs in Freebird I just concentrate on hitting every orange note and let the pull off do the rest of the work.

Haha, <3 Agents. I've beaten every song on both that and the Japanese version (Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!). Although the songlist on Agents is worse than Osu, imho. [censored] like "Material Girl" and Ashlee Simpson want me to choke people, and you HAVE to play through em. They have this incredibly annoying system where you have to play through all the songs on medium to get to hard, and then hard to get to very hard.

Have you played the Japanese one? If you have, playing through the easier modes on Agents will make you want to rip your teeth out. That's what happened to me, anyways, but I do remember having a great time building up to the hardest difficulties on the Japanese version.

From the sounds of it, you're like me (with a pretty strong affinity for rhythm games) and I think you're gonna love it.

(But I still prefer Osu)

Edit -

Also, do you have any methods of playing Japanese Beatmanias? The US version is OK, but I'm really into 12th style, Happy Sky right now.

I dont know how to go about getting the other beatmanias but I'm gonna try. Hopefully the scorehero guys will help me out with it. If you have any ideas on what I can do to get the japanese versions ship me a PM or bump your beatmania thread. It would be appreciated and I don't want to hijack this bad boy too much

Is there a better wireless controller out there than the Guitar Mania Freedom V by TAC?

I really really hate mine.

Get the one made by RedOctane. It owns, never misses any notes.

I just use the regular red SG but yeah, Tok is right. The Red Octane wireless is definitely your best bet. The TAC guitar sucks.

Finally beat Jordan the other day. I found the best way to do it is when the ridiculous part of the song comes up just focus on parts where there are two notes alternating really quick that you can nail fairly easily, example, a sequence like

G RBRBRB G RBRBRB

say [censored] the green, go for the reds and blues.

I totally luck boxed it through too, I think at one point if I missed one more note I was gone.
