I think the "not being wasteful" component of this is very cool, but all the anti-capitalist stuff (found in the wiki entry) is just retarded.

Humans need incentive to get [censored] done. Take it away and you'll get even more hunger, oppression and misery than there is now.

Not that capitalism should be unregulated, mind you.

How about the whole philosophy centering around eliminating exploitation and the guy that follows to it playing poker?

Fine, I’ll do it.

I think Veganmav deserves some level of respect for his commitment to ideals. A lot of people complain about corporate domination of our culture, but he is actually doing something about it. If I weren’t so lazy and had some balls, I might want to do something similar. I am not a vegetarian, but I do understand that the production of meat has a really negative impact on the environment and also has other social costs.

Veganmav isn’t living the lifestyle that I would choose, but at least he is putting his money when his mouth is.

To me freeganism is more about consuming less, and wasting less.

I used to be vegan. Then one day i had dumpster dived veggie burgers, that were vegetarian, but not vegan. I didnt intend on eating them, and later that day I was about to buy vegan veggie burgers, but i said eff it, and just ate the non-vegan veggie burgers that I had.

Ever since then, I have been almost vegan, but I will eat something if it is vegetarian, but not vegan, and was out of the trash.

Buying non-vegan veggie burgers may be against a vegans morals, but eating them out of the trash may not be.

Do you see why?
