Follow this rule and you'll weed out 99% of the gold diggers before actually going on your first date.

[/ QUOTE ] What is materialistic and shallow about that? 1) The girl asks me out. Great. I've had girls ask me out before, there is nothing wrong with that. 2) She picks me up. Ok... that matters...how? 3) She pays for the date. Well that's unneccesary, and I'm more than willing to pay for the date (see my first post in the thread) and I will offer to pay, but if Daddy gives her tons of money and she wants to pay, I'm not going to complain. 4) Showers me with compliments. Ok that part might get wierd after a while. But what part of that is shallow or materialistic?

So this is how it works. You never go out with anyone or group that you are not willing to fully pay for. You use your best efforts to pick up the tab every time.
If they are male they try the same. If they are female they deeply understand and appreciate. Why? Because that is what works so well in the long run. And you will enjoy how it feels. Just like in the old gangster movies. Or if it is a large regular group the males get together beforehand and decide how to divide it equally, never by consumption.

In general I won't pay for somebody's dinner/movie ticket/fluffy bunny slippers just because they happen to have breasts...
This doesn't mean that I would never pay for a girl, it just won't be trigged by her gender.
