FWIW, 3 wpt champs and multiple wsop bracelet winners all busted out before me on that first day.

lastly, my chances of winning were slim, but my chances of outperforming the likes of PITTM on any given day approach 100%.

the first statement makes me believe that the second statment is false...

When threads break down to Granny being called "an absolute retard" and comments about my ranting about Russ(and that's what it is) it makes me nostaigia for the old days. When we had posters that knew what minion meant. Who knew where the caps locked key was and weren't afraid to use it.

[/ QUOTE ]

I may not have been here in the old days, but I know nostalgic BS when I hear it - the people who know what the word "minion" means are not the folks abusing their CAPSLOCK key!

Regardless of what you think about MS Sunshine, Dutch Boyd is a thief.
If you clowns lost money, I am sure you would be angry too.

[/ QUOTE ]

No doubt people that who lost money are angry. I certainly would be!

But the link you post actually argues against your position (that Boyd is a thief). From what I've been able to tell - after a few evenings googling this subject to death - is that the most likely scenario is that Boyd was the victim of business partners gone bad, that he (optimistically but naively) bought the line that normal transactions would resume soon, but then he slid into the grey area and into the black by not coming clean with his customers when it was clear that the problems were real. He attempted to find a buyer that would keep the site alive, picked the best offer and refused a lesser offer; the better offer fell through, and the lesser offer had disappeared in the meantime. He has made some statements about wanting to repay the debt, but it hasn't hapened - but he also also pointed out that it is a corporate debt, and not a personal debt.

I see a young, fairly naive, incompetent businessman who was in over his head and didn't make the very best moves when things fell apart. But to read these forums, you would think he comingled players funds with his own, or that he stole money. In all the reading that I've done, I've never seen anything that points to this - from his side, or from his detractors.

His screwup is bad enough as it is. But if you try to inflate it beyond what it was - by calling him a thief - you lose credibility in the process.

This is not a personal debt for Dutch. .....

[/ QUOTE ]

....What leads you to believe that this is true?

[/ QUOTE ]

business 101

[/ QUOTE ]

I think it would not be a peronal debt if the company's assets were sold to pay the creditors. Russ Boyd chose to keep the company's assets for his personal use. I think that make the debt his.

[/ QUOTE ]

Again, business 101 - learn what a corporation is, and you'll understand who owns the debt. This is not a defense of Boyd - who clearly screwed up - it's just a matter of getting facts straight.
