I didn't get to watch this game, looks like I missed out on a good one. Would Sweden have advanced if they lost?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yep. Because T&T lost to Paraguay.

[/ QUOTE ]

They would also have advanced if T&T drew. T&T needed to win to have any shot, and Sweden could still have advanced even with a T&T win, as long as both games were only one-goal margins.

Yes. Whith T&T as the only possible threat we did not have to worry. Keeping the England-streak intact was our biggest concern. We still has not lost to England since 1968.

I really feel sorry for Owen. He's been one of my favourite players for many years.

BTW Did you that Peter Crouch at 19 failed to make the starting line-up for a team in the swedish second (or third?) division.

I'm so looking forward to knocking out Germany saturday.

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually, that could very well happen. I'd preferred that Germany played England rather than Sweden. England would have had more psycholgical baggage to carry. To me, Sweden is a very unpredictable and fearless team. They could beat anyone if they have a good day.

I still put the chances between Germany and Sweden at 60:40. It would be 50:50 without home advantage.
Home advantage counts for a lot @ the WC.
