The posts where people say they don't need support amuse me.

I don't support much either, but I play at Stars for their support anyway.

Maybe I will make less money at Stars, but I feel that my money is safer there. If something goes wrong, I have a lot more confidence in Stars support to handle the situation properly than Party.

Plus, Stars has never introduced an update to their software that deleted all of the users' image files in Program Files\ folders.

Basically, I don't trust Party with my money. I do trust Stars and Full Tilt, though.

I have actually put serious thought into this lately. I have 1k of my roll at Party, and a little below 900 at Stars.

I have wondered what would happen with my money if US legislation did away with online gambling for us Americans. For some reason, i believe that Stars would honor everyones money before Party would.

I dont know if that is a ridiculous statement to make, but i do know that the people who represent Poker Stars have a lot more reputation to keep in the poker industry than Dikshit does.

Just interesting to consider.

Another consideration: ease of datamining.

Ooo... ease of datamining... that's a good one. For myself, I play for at Partypoker for reasons I cannot disclose.

well, aren't more fish reason enough? And Stars is doing once every three month bonuses--although the software disadvantage is formidable.

I got about $1400 in bonii backed up at Stars, most of it to clear at only 5x. I won't play there because the player pictures and carpet distract me and are -EV. I actually play at Party with no bonus rather than at Stars with a bonus because of that.

I just saw the Stars Beta thread and it appears they may have a non-cluttered looking interface available now. If that is so I will probably start playing there.

Because of the ring games/6-max games. Only recently does Stars have any type of player base in those games that compares, and they're usually way worse. Look how huge threads get here when Party makes changes, like:

Adding 1000/2000NL
Adding 50/100, 100/200, 20/40.
Making their NL games w/ 100BBs instead of 50.
Adding 6-max to all LHE levels.
Breaking from skins.
Changing their interface.

The list goes on. There were like 15 page threads for each of these things.

Nobody cares when Stars does an update because nobody cares about the games there.

I must say, this thread is really dumb.

OK, were it not for fish and unmentionable (which I don't get anyway because no one will PM me *sniff*), then we would all play at stars. The problem is, THOSE ARE ABOUT THE TWO BIGGEST CONSIDERATIONS! What purpose does it serve to leave them out of the discussion?

[/ QUOTE ]

The rakeback thing is huge. If I could get it, I would probably play there exclusively. It's an elusive thing that some are able to get and is the main reason the site turns me off. The integrity factor is definitely higher at Stars. As far as the fish factor, there are sites that are looser than Party IMO. The fish factor at Party is lower due too RB, PT, PA HUD, screen scraping programs, multi-table assitance programs, etc.
