50NL 6max pokerstars .235VPP per hand sample size 24k hands ok someone help me figure out what im calculating wrong. I don't play at full tilt so i'm not familiar with how rake back works but isn't it MGR * .27 = rakeback ? if i do this i get $190 * .27 = $51.30 rakeback over these 24k hands at pokerstars i get 24000*.235 = 5640VPPs at 1.5 cents is $84.60 $84.60 / $190 = 44% rakeback, and this is before i add in VIP extra FPP bonus.... if im silver stars this doubles making it 88% rakeback...platinum is 2.5 FPP per VPP so that would be 110% rakeback.. this can't be right what am i doing wrong?? [/ QUOTE ] you pulled the .27 out of thin air. this number is generally used when figuring out rakeback for ftp (which gives 27%) do total fpp value/mgr = equivelent rakeback % |

Re: Poker Stars: VPP per hand - post-legislation edition
correct me if Im wrong in finding this out, I counted up how many fpps =f I got , I multiplied that by 1.5 cents and then divided that by the mrg =m to get the rakeback %. Is this how u do that? f*$0.015/m= rakeback |

For instance, there are weekly and monthly freerolls. Also, if you use the points in the fpp store or play tournaments with them, your .015 value is likely to be a little bit higher. The .015 figure comes from the value of the bonuses. And if you're playing quite a bit, you should also factor in the milestone bonuses at the 200k,300k,400k,500k,and/or 750k marks. To determine your mgr in pokertracker, go to the summary tab. Divide total rake by players to find out the average amount of rake paid per player. This is the dealt method of calculating rakeback, which is most commonly used throughout the industry. |

Re: Poker Stars: VPP per hand - post-legislation edition
I just hit Goldstar and it took me 34,700 hands of $25NL fullring to hit the 4000vpp so that is .115 vpp per hand.
Anyone have any recent $50NL full ring numbers to post? I'm looking to move up by the end of the year and start my drive to supernova next year. I've seen older numbers posted from .19 - .26 vpp at $50NL but that's a fairly big range. I normally play during 7-11pm eastern during the week and whenever on weekends. |
