Re: WSOP Main Event Day 5 thread
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] All pros know you don't have to go all-in on a bluff. [/ QUOTE ] True, but going half all-in on a bluff seems kind of silly. When a guy bets 50k, either raise him to 150k or go all-in for 650k (or whatever she had). Raising to 300k is a bizarre play, which I think can only mean a huge hand. [/ QUOTE ] Why should it mean a huge hand? Why can't it mean Annie has a hand that wants to win the pot without seeing a flop? |

Why should it mean a huge hand? Why can't it mean Annie has a hand that wants to win the pot without seeing a flop? [/ QUOTE ] For several reasons. 1. There was a raise UTG. You don't want to make a play at an UTG raise with HALF OF YOUR CHIPS with air. 2. There are many players left to act behind Duke who could wake up with a hand. She had kings. |

Re: WSOP Main Event Day 5 thread
Nice, but how did he lose so many chips? I hate CP...
Eric Lynch Doubles Up On a flop 7heart7spade6spade, Hossein Khodabanelou bets $100,000. Eric Lynch re-raises all-in for another $200,000. Khodabanelou calls and flips over 6diamond4diamond while Lynch shows AspadeAheart. The turn and river bring the 9club and the Jclub, no help to either player. Lynch doubles up this hand and now sits with $700,000. |

Re: WSOP Main Event Day 5 thread
Was this hand on the tv table? It will be interesting to know for sure.
If she folds a "KK" against an AQ or AJ after the flop it'll make for good tv. Heck even if she folded it by getting bluffed out that woudl be good TV (assuming of course she had KK) |

[/ QUOTE ] From p5's live: [ QUOTE ] Perhaps Rizen should have taken a page out of Doyle's book and mucked AQ without a second thought as he got involved in two big pots with AQ this level and they weren't pretty. Both times he was raising and short stacks pushed with better hands that held up. Apparently the squeeze play doesn't work very well when your opponent is holding Aces. [/ QUOTE ] |

Still, if I had to put money, I'd say she had it, made the post oak bluff, and figured he had the A when he pushed. Simple as that. eastbay |
