AUGUST: Goals, Challenges, Expectations

Goals:
- Play 10k hands

- Clear another 40% of my FTP signup bonus

Challenges:
- Increase my ptbb/100 by 10%
negative. 6k hands attempt to LAG it up went horribly wrong.
- Have my second winning month while increasing my winning margin

Expectations:
- Finish NLTAP
surprisingly, negative.
- Play the majority of time at 6max tables

Goals
Move up permanently to 100NL by the end of August. <font color="blue">Moved up in the middle of the month.</font>
Have an advertising strategy for HHE prepared for the end of August. <font color="blue">Not really, apart from asking people who sign up to "spread the word"!.</font>

Challenges
Make $500 in one night playing the short-stack strategy at Party 100NL against the Monster fish. <font color="blue">This was a dumb challenge and I didn't bother with it. I did qualify for the monthly though.</font>
Play 5000 hands per week at Hollywood. <font color="blue">Not quite, but I played more hands than most months.</font>
Post at least 3 of those hands in SSNL per week. <font color="blue">Nowhere near. About 1 a week.</font>
Stop allowing aggressive players to put me off my game. <font color="blue">I'm pleased with this one, I'm more disciplined about moving away from a table when OOP to a maniac, and about not giving into the temptation to play sheriff against good LAGs</font>
Stop overplaying hands when multitabling using a HUD. <font color="blue">Not completely eliminated the "his WTSD is low and AF is high so he MUST be bluffing" syndrome, but fewer boobs in this area than most months.</font>
Write 2 articles per week for my website. <font color="blue">No, just 2 articles all month.</font>

Expectations
Read NLHTAP. <font color="blue">Yep. A couple of the concepts have been quite expensive though (AK hates me).</font>
Play at least 2000 hands per week at Hollywood. <font color="blue">Yep.</font>
Use the strategy forums at 2+2 more. <font color="blue">Read them more but didn't post enough.</font>

Got 14,000 new words done. (!)
Not yet done with the Commitment Threshold; otherwise all my Core and Fundamentals chapters are at final first draft or later.
No preflop stuff written but have been thinking about it a lot.

2. move up permanently to $50NL nope - tried for about 3000 hands but had some bad hands and moved down to 25NL again
3. post five hands per week nah - didnt happen
4. reply to 25 threads per week no chance
5. read NLHTAP almost done

Challenges:
1. "Play 1000 hands in a day" done
2. "Play every session with no TV" not quite - but very close
3. "Play a session on $50NL" done
4. "Try four tabling a session on $25NL" nope

Expectations:
1. play 6000 hands in august Done
2. take shots on $50NL Done
3. post three hands per week I think so :-)
4. reply to 15 threads per week nope
5. read NLHTAP almost done
