>Hi, I have a question about your new deposit option. I see on the payTru
website that there is a 4% (plus 50 cents) loading fee, and it's my
understanding that a cashout from PokerStars would count as a loading. I
also read on an poker forum (www.twoplustwo.com) that PokerStars will cover
these fees when cashing out, but not when depositing. In other words,
here's my understanding of the situation:
>
>I load $500 onto my paytru card---> paytru takes out $20.50 and the
remaining $479.50 goes to my PokerStars account.
>I withdraw $1000 from my PokerStars account---> paytru takes out $0---> If
I want to withdraw from an ATM, there's a flat $4 ATM fee.
>
>Is my understanding of the situation correct?

Hello Sean,

Your understanding on the 4% + 0.50 load fee to transfer funds from your
Visa/MasterCard into your payTru account is correct. Also, you're right
about there not being any fee charged when you move funds from PokerStars
to your payTru account.

The fee to withdraw funds from your payTru VISA Debit card from an ATM is
$2.50 and not $4.00.

In addition, there is a $2.95 monthly service charge applied by payTru but
only if your card carries a balance.

If you have any other questions or you'd like to share your experience with
us once you've used your payTru VISA Debit Card, we'd very much appreciate
receiving your feedback on this new method.

Best regards,

Veronica
PokerStars Payments Supervisor

IMO, this is going to be a great way to get money off of the site, and a great way for fish to deposit. Awesome job Stars.

When signing up thru the pokerstars cashier, make sure your middle initial is in there, as paytru seemed to assign me a random one.

My middle initial is in my stars profile and they still assigned me a random one - probably wont matter in the grand scheme of things I think.

I'm a total financial moron.

Why would such a Visa debit card work on Stars but not on other sites?

When trying to load the card on the PayTru site, I get the following:

"Loading not available for this card"
and
"Credit card loading not available for this card"

Only if you find an ATM card that will allow a $1000 transaction. More likely you will have to break it up into two $500 withdrawls.

The $2.50 fee (per transaction) is from the payTru VISA Debit card side. The bank that actually owns the ATM machine is going to charge $2 (per transaction) or more also for using a card that doesn't belong to them.

So your $500 in, $1000 out transaction is going to cost you at least $28.50 in fees, if not $33 or more, if you have to do multiple withdrawls at the ATM.

solution: don't ever deposit except for bonuses and only use the card to cover very large purchases, for which the fee is $1...

this is stellar and I love this option already. hopefully every other site will do this (wsex already does)...preferably all with one card so we don't need a dozen of them, but w/e, I'm not picky.
