So he lost like $2 million in a $1k/2k game? Online this would be like losing a 100xBB max buy-in. That's not even counting the $400 ante.

[/ QUOTE ]

he said that he lost a 1.8m pot, and he was down $700-800k after that, meaning that he was probably somewhere around even at the time of that hand. I am trying to figure out what stakes they could be playing where he could be 'even' and lose $800K... unless he started the night down and then built a large stack to get even.

Is this the largest pot ever?

[/ QUOTE ]

i'd guess there were many bigger pots in the HU 100k/200k game.

jen harman won a $2m+ pot in the big game once.

I believe her pot was closer to 1.7 mil. This may be the largest pot ever if it was 1.8 mil.

the "new" game is uncapped .. the usual big game is mostly limit and capped.

I believe the cap is for the mixed game where they plays lots of limit games as well as NLHE and PLO. WHen they play only NLHE/PLO they get rid of any cap.

No. Why would they have a cap for a limit game, to save someone one bet?

um your math skills are kind of weak. 100 x 2k = 200k

With antes of $400, a stack of 200k is essentially much less than 100 bb's.
