get [censored] lee into the game, i mean what the [censored]...
i was also hoping this scrubary thing would explode and would finally result in him getting booted from the team also, being a GM cannot be easy imo (tho i'm an engineer, so my mindset may be different), but it doesn't excuse his performance anyway |

It's not easy to be a good GM and coach, but it's very easy to be better than Isiah.
Even a great GM will have a problem digging this team out at this point. |

Re: New York Knicks \'07-\'08 playoffs or Busto thread
Bobbo,
because it's not easy? I have no idea what you do for a living, but it's not like your skillset is unique. Any fairly good manager has to have those skills. But we're talking $70M dollar payrolls, having a very public profile, millions of fans criticizing your every move, and all the pressure that comes with it. When your ass is on the line can you really call up other GMs to work a career saving trade? I'm not saying current GMs are great. We know from sports that for some reason, sports franchises don't run exactly like the business world. It's a boys club to some degree, and that's why McHale and Isiah and Baylor all have jobs at this point. I'm just saying the job is probably a lot harder than we give it credit for, and it's also probably a lot less fun. |

Again, the fact people LIKE mchale isiah doc bird have big positions is what makes me think i can do better. |

Re: New York Knicks \'07-\'08 playoffs or Busto thread
Wow, this team is even worse than I expected, which is saying a lot. I've been watching this game against Golden State, but can only tolerate a minute or so at a time. The defense is horrid, the turnovers are absurd. Looks almost like they are trying to get Isiah fired.
Good thing Isiah got that contract extension before the season started. |

Re: New York Knicks \'07-\'08 playoffs or Busto thread
sigh... an ode to the knicks
OH KNICKERBOCKERS! Give me a reason... I see you have come away From basketball preseason Having forgotten how to play Fortunately your stars Can still bitch about their pay Wait - stars - did I say "stars"? Surely my reason went astray For the best part of the Knicks Is listening to Walt Clyde Do his colored commentary, (Just briefly-an aside- Is "colored" still thought racist? Or has the PC movement died?) While little Nate runs down the court Still too short for theme-park rides. Marbury is suck a hack, At his birth his mother surely wept, If he ever got them playoff-bound, It's certain that they'd still be swept. Isaiah is a horny cat, Molesting interns and office staff I'd like to beat him with a bat And then we'd finally have a laugh. But this year, I fear, shall bear no fruit No playoffs wins or championship, For though they may now wear nice suits, They'll always play like sh*t. |

Re: New York Knicks \'07-\'08 playoffs or Busto thread
listening to wfan 660 last night seems like everyone wants james dolan gone as much as isiah
(bare with me if this is old news, i havnt really followed the team closely at all since allan houston retired, the first time) regardless, i think the team needs to get rid of every player except david lee and start over, the knicks right now are the epitomy of why the nba sucks right now. the players just wanna score, not have to play defense, and make lots of monies. no one really cares |

Re: New York Knicks \'07-\'08 playoffs or Busto thread
lol at isiah not being able to understand what all the 'fire isiah' chants were about last night...wow, fans started booing early and did not stop, wow, i'm not sure if i've seen it get that bad before...
what a [censored] joke, scrubary found at least 3 times to laugh last night late in the game...i know i'm being picky, but the guy just flat out doesn't care...especially when he's having a laugh while everyone is booing, that tilts me... dolan might not be the biggest problem, but he isn't part of the solution with him pissing fans off over every [censored] aspect of the organization and cablevision...i want him gone too as this ownership has no clue what it's doing, but gl with this happening... that being said, isiah is problem 1, there have to be plenty of better options out there, i mean this guy has [censored] up so much...i can understand its new york and no one likes rebuilding, but he inhertied a bad situation and has just made it worse imo with another series of [censored] contracts and it's crushing this team...looking back, u have to be pretty bad to have further messed up the situation he had inherited, with contracts like houston, ward, LJ, anderson, etc since the fans are pissed enough, i think it's come to the point where this team needs to blow everything up and try to sort its cap out and i don't even think the fans would object to complete rebuilding, this organization has been a total joke for so long that there is almost no solution, they cannot add pieces and make a serious run, there is not the cap or the talent there to do this imo... the sooner this idiot dolan realizes they need to nuke the team, the better man, it seems ages since the knicks owned NY sports /rant |
