Ok. Exponential is definitely not a good fit. A much better fit is parabolic. Here's a couple of slightly different fit techniques and projections for the month. According to this projection, the target would be missed by about $1.2M.

However, I expect a big surge near the end of the month. Don't know if they'll make it. Like I said; $12M for the quarter was too aggressive, imo.

I'm pretty sure I could fit this better by adding a weekly sinusoidal modulation, but I'm lazy.

Hey guys, first time in the politics forum.

There's a contest being run by trythis.com that'll donate $1000 to the winning campaign. RP is already leading by a ton but any additional exposure helps. If anyone wants to check it out, it's here:

Fun with data!

Looks like there is a strong bi-daily psychological effect developing in the donations over the last week:

Looks like people see a big number from the day before and relax, lowering donations, then the next day see the low number and think "Oh Noes!" and redonate, leading to another big day. Shampoo, rinse, repeat.

Or it could just be random.

Sweet, you can vote for more than 1. I voted Paul cuz I want him to win, and Gravel cuz he's a senile old bag and I like to hear him yell and shake his fist at random stuff.

Not sure if you guys have heard about this grassroots effort:

http://thisnovember5th.com/

It's an attempt to earn $10 million in a day. I'm sure they won't come remotely close, but it will probably be a strong daily bump, and reason enough to feel like October is going fine.

Have they thought about the repercussions of 100,000 extra visitors to RPS site trying to donate? End up crashing his site.

The FEC has been notified about this post.

Edit: I'm pretty legit busto right now; we'll see about a small donation after I pay my rent and eat.

I'll match it and make it a $100 donation for the 5th of November to help make it a big day if you wish. PM me if you're serious... this is my Stars and AIM name as well.
