Re: Halo 3: Post your likes & dislikes of multiplayer
Anyone think that good teamwork is more valuable than on 1 or 2? I'm asking because I didnt play much Xbox live during 1 & 2, mostly system link stuff.

[/ QUOTE ] 1 wasn't on live, but yeah, because the weapons are so balanced teamwork, knowing the levels, and suprising your enemies are all necessary skills to have to win on TS. |

Re: Halo 3: Post your likes & dislikes of multiplayer
I definitely think team work's alot more important now. They took out alot of the cheese from Halo 2 like the 'noob combo' plasma pistol/battle rifle and the sniper actually requires a little effort to use now. And the starting weapon is actually useful. Rockets also seem a bit toned down now, slower velocity / less explosion radius? I can't really figure it out. Anyhow, yeah - the balance makes it alot harder for one guy to just go succesfully rambo the other team.
Not to mention levels like Isolation, if a team doesn't work together they'll get slaughtered. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah Isolation definitely jumps out as a map that absolutely demands teamwork. Was playing last night on that map and the team I was with wasnt working very well together and the other team was. Once we got our [censored] together and starting playing together, we closed the gap quite a bit, but couldnt quite pull off the win. Think we were down about 15 kills or so and ended up losing by 5. Pretty big turnaround. Snowbound is the other level where John Rambo has absolutely no chance. |

I had a lot of fun finishing off a fight last night in TS with a ghost. I had about 6-10 splatter kills already, and I saw two of my teammates double-teaming an enemy. My teammates saw me and said "don't splatter us"... we had 49 kills and I managed to take out all 3 guys with one run =) |

Re: Halo 3: Post your likes & dislikes of multiplayer
you can definitely John Rambo people when its shotty snipers. I have ran into the hornets nest numerous times and taken out at least 2 guys before I die. If you have a teammate, its probably lights out for all 4.
