Level rewards will be one time offers at each level. We should have a guess on what date someone will hit 500k VPPs in 2007. I'll take April 22nd.

I take mid Feb, on the condition that ElkY hasn't got any holidays planned during that period.

I HOPE it will be possible to opt out.

I've said in another thread that I don't want this either.

I don't think Stars fully understands how this is exactly the opposite of what many SN's want.

So hopefully they listen to us and realize that they HAVE to make this optional if they want to keep their SN's happy (which is what they should be striving to do).

--------In addition we plan to introduce a visual recognition for Supernova players by special graphics in their PokerStars icon.
------I'm not sure I like this.

This will be option for Supernovas. If a Supernova doesn't want to use this option that is fine.

Hi Scotty, I don't know if I'm capable of making super-nova elite but with the bonuses along the way I was tempted to try. Are you really offering no alternative rewards for non-tournament players?

Supernovas will be able to play for $70,000 every Saturday with the $100,000 on the final Saturday of the month. The Freerolls have been very popular with the $100k monthly leading the way.

Supernova freeroll was $26,000 has now been increased to $50,000 a week with the addition of some PlatinumStars and GoldStars via Satellites. Combined with the $20,000 weekly the Supernovas will have more value than ever before. Supernovas had mentioned playing the PlatinumStar and other freerolls in the past which result in a small win for hours of play. We hope this new structure will increase their value and decrease the total time invested on Saturdays they play.

Yeah, at first I thought it probably meant a decrease in SN freeroll EV but now I'm not so sure.

2100 in today's gold-star tourney.
I'll estimate close to 3000 players in the weekly $20k's next year perhaps.

So about %6 or $7 in value in that tourney.

Over 500 supernovas in today's $26k SN tourney.
With the satellite additions I'm going to guess the weekly $50k will be about 1000 players so perhaps about equal value there.

I'm not blown-away by the new freeroll structure but I'm not really heart-broken either.

Scotty, do you have an estimate of how many gold and platinum vips are capped to make the SN freeroll via FPPs?

If I see 2000 gold/plat vips qualify to the 50K, I'll be in my backyard suntanning than playing this freeroll

The first week there will be zero since we have not had any satellites. The 2nd week we will have a huge number but that's because whenever we launch anything new we have a huge surge. Remember none of this is set in stone, if we made a mistake we can make changes.

I guarantee you that Novas will not bother with the 20k, especially for $7 in tourney EV. Maybe the 50k.
