Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
I thought I saw Scotty give him the left-handed shake right after the hand was over.

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
I really like the way Hilm has played in this episode. He seemed to pick up on the fact that he had gotten under Scotty's skin. It might have been in that blind vs. blind hand when Hilm shoved on the river. Some subtle needling by Hilm seemed to get Scotty even more on tilt. Hilm just kept putting himself in a position to get Scotty's chips and he finally did.

Scotty's J8o hand. Why didn't he raise all-in on the turn when he had trips? Was he ever planning to fold on the river? If not, get all the chips in as the favorite.

Where are all those 'Kenny Tran is the coolest guy ever!' people? [/ QUOTE ] After seeing Tran's stupidity against Yang I decided to hate on him a bit more. WTF was he doing? Not only was he making an ass of himself but he was rooting for a dangerous player not to be knocked out when at that point every knockout was crucial. At least he went down in flames. |

Is a Rahme a calling station or just a dude who made a sick read? [/ QUOTE ] What kind of read could he have made? KJ? KT? JT? 66 or lower? Anything else and he's dead. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Good bye Sweet Prince [/ QUOTE ] Is it just me or did he walk right by Hilm without shaking his hand or acknowledging him? [/ QUOTE ] Yep, he ignored Hilm and walked passed him without shaking his hand. It seems like Hilm got under Scotty's skin because he took all his chips [/ QUOTE ] fyp |

Poor Scotty... Feel so sorry for him. [/ QUOTE ] Me too. I remember when I was following the coverage live and feeling so bad that he washed out just short of the FT. Seeing it now makes me feel really bad for him. I'm not a big fan of his and honestly his antics annoy me but his making the FT and going deep or winning would have been so great for poker. I just kept picturing my cardrooms filled up again with a new generation of fish. |

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
[ QUOTE ]
Looks like we have a new Scott Lazar. Haha. Not quite that bad I guess. I've always liked Scotty, but what an amazing donk off of a lot of chips. [/ QUOTE ] Am I the only one who thought Scotty's play during the last two hands was fairly standard? In the AQ hand, he checks knowing he's going to reraise Hilm all-in. Hilm can't call without a very strong hand - which he did have. On his bust out hand, Scotty got the flop he wanted and put maximum pressure on Hilm, who happened to catch TP. You might make an argument for Scotty not getting involved with this hand pre-flop, but it still looks like basic tournament play to me. |
