the key is not to have an attachment to whether she is a 3 or a 9, or any other number. You see, the key to avoiding suffering, is an avoidance to attachment. If you can sleep with the woman, without attachment to her numerical ranking, you will avoid the suffer of waking up with a 3.

I just lost a beer pong game in which I was up 8 cups to one. I'm ranked 1st in my house, and lost to the guy ranked last. This is like suicide time. Imagine if the devil rays were down 0-10 in a best of 21 and won 11 straight against the red sox.
