raising PPs is fine, but 3-betting an UTG raise from UTG+1 at a FR table w/ them is really bad

I was just going to say the same thing.

UTG raised, and you 3 bet him...that is how that works...if someone then reraised you he would have 4 bet you.

blind = 1bet
raise = 2bet
reraise = 3bet

STTF,

Can you please suggest some sites for low level (like 100-200NL) 6 max with good RB and some fish?

I am in Canada but have no RB on Party which sucks and know there are easier sites around for us internationals than Stars for cash games.

Please give me some suggestions or PM me if you don't want to post here.

Thanks.

At those stakes I don't think it matters what site you play.

Flop: ($350) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, BTN bets $200.00, Hero raises to $625.00, UTG raises all-in to $2,501.68, BTN folds, Hero calls all-in for $1,275.00
Uncalled bet of $601.68 returned to UTG

What do you think about Hero's play?

Hero is a lag regular. Utg is 25/9 1.6/1/2.6 somewhat regular loser.

This is so insanely gross. I assume you were posting it as an exercise.

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A, A.
1 fold, Hero raises to $2, 5 folds, SB calls $1.75, 1 fold.

Flop: ($4.50) T, 9, 7 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $4, SB calls $4.

Turn: ($12.50) 4 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $12, SB raises to $24, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $36.50

[/ QUOTE ]

Check turn. Your hand isn't actually very good and you'll have to fold a checkraise even though you may be ahead or have outs. The free card isn't that big a deal as villain will bluff bet river with missed draws, so you get the bet back. The exception is vs really passive guys who won't bluff river when they miss and won't checkraise you light on the turn. Vs those guys betting turn is OK.
