Does anybody have any personal experience/knowledge with plasma vs LCD? I've done all the research myself but if anyone has any personal anecdote about their TV...

I'm using FPPs for Onecall gift certs and I'm probably going with a 52" Samsung LCD (1080p). I have two other Samsungs and they are great. The reflective glare on every plasma is too much IMO. Any other thoughts?

LCD >>> Plasma

Plasma can't produce enough of a picture differential compared to LCD to make up for it's inherent flaws(burn in, fragile, etc) Plasma has better black levels but thats about it, not worth it imo.

Speaking of TVs. I'm looking to buy one using Future Shop GC. I'm spending somewhere between 2k and 3k.

easy call. and didnt he just post a hand where you pushed 74o on the bubble from the small blind? (which is a clear fold btw if that was you)

if i were you id be embarrassed for calling someone out when he plays better than you from what ive seen. oh and i dont know who ih8money is so im not sticking up for him or anything.

What size are you looking for? What is gonna be your standard viewing distance?

FH, wow vn sample size, you can tell who plays better from 2 hands? I don't even disagree with the JT hand as I clearly wasn't remembering it correctly and I think it was a bad push. My claim in the first place was that he wasn't god's gift to the low limits and makes some calls that are too wide, I never called him horrible. Maybe you should get your head out of your ass?

I have the 50" version of this TV. It's phenomenal. If I recall my research correctly, there were a few complaints about seeing some sort of rainbow, but it's apparently just something weird with the eyes of a few people. I haven't had anyone say anything bad about mine, except that they really, really want one.

Until you've seen someone do this a few times it's hard to know what it means.

Very strong hand?
Challenge to your c-bet?
Testing bet with medium hand?

No matter what he has, calling is +EV so I'd go with that.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh, yeah... I'm pretty sure I remember seeing him push back at some obvious c-bets on raggedy flops. He calls my raises in position a fair amount, though I haven't played enough hands with him to know if he's selectively targeting my raises.

[/ QUOTE ]

call, you can 3-bet if he only has $50 but with these stacks i think you can call and re-evaluate on the turn.

Is it bad of me to really want to get stacks in here before he has a chance to either get scared off by my flush hitting or stack me when he has A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]x[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], where x might be 9? Either my pair is good or my flush draw is good, but I don't really know which. I also don't think I can find out without stacks going in anyway.
