More of a "From directly above look". That is my favorite.

I like the look the shadows give - but I have not played any actual hands with them yet. Just been photoshopping - obviously [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img].

I just re-made that starburst:

- darkened the background, put a green/tan table on it (with shadow effects, sorry chillee [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] )

I didnt want to bother putting those first versions on the wiki.

Think I sorted it out. The shadow effects were at 75% while the glow effects were at 25% mostly.

I left the glow effects the same:

-Turned the shadows to 25% and got:



-Then I removed one of the glow effects from the inner edge of the rail, and got this:

Hopefully some people agree.

It gives the illusion that the rail is a bit rounded, and has a bit of height above the felt surface. Yet the glow isnt too bright.

Once i get the table look nailed, it will be so easy to change the felt/rail color combinations - and make up a small variety of table looks, that can simply be dropped on top of any background or gradient I want. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I just started using photobucket instead of imageshack. I got the Flock browser (mozilla based) with built in uploader. It is super sweet. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Couldnt add layers or do much with that .png. I didnt know how to "un-lock" it. But Iresized it - and put the original FT tablert.png back in the elements folder.

My elliptical buttons look like [censored], when u scale the table down to the smaller size. The edges become very choppy due to the small number of pixels combined with the scaling. I just went back to original bigbutton and my orange smallbutton.

At the default table size setting, they look sweet (like the screen grabs). Scale it down and its ugly as sin.

On the up-side: I think I got this table makin business down. I got a few more table templates to make/re-do. The wider railed tables didnt turn out like I hoped.

I just re-made the rosewood, and an oak background. I will post em on the wiki later or tomorrow, to replace the older versions.


FYI Photobucket is much better/easier to work with - compared to imageshack. The built in uploader in the Flock browser makes it even sweeter. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Still tinkering around with photoshop and this new Flock Browser. Trying out the photo uploader and drag and drop capabilities for posting. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Wow, how cool. This Flock browser is awesome. It does use about 120mb of ram (with few tabs open) compared to about 60mb used by firefox for same number of tabs.

The photo-uploader is awesome - it puts a picture top bar in the browser. I can drag from window explorer right into the top bar on my browser. I can then drag and drop the BB code, from the image thumbnail in the top bar, right into the forum posting. No need to have another tab or window open where I copy the code to paste into here. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] What a time saver.

It also has a bottom bar where you can drag and drop text or images from webpages. Like an over-sized clipboard. I haven't tried using that yet. hehe
