I am rethinking the peeking of Patton. If there were no shenanigans then I think Fmx was planning to role claim. He said in the morning that he would be away until 8:30. The most reasonable explanation is that he was held up and came back to find he was too late.

I am not sure if Patton is evil independent of Fmx at this point.
