1. I have seen him go around 20 in most leagues, sometimes later. I still like him, but most people do not. I believe he has not impressed Cam Cameron either.

2. Vince Young obviously, but hes gone by the 5th round in almost all of the drafts i am in. Cutler i would say is 2nd followed by Leinart and Ben.

3. I would say no, i have him as a 3rd in a few leagues, its very dicey to go with him as your 2nd. I would rather have Jacobs or Jamal for that.

4. Cooley is that much better then Witten yes. Gates has the potential for 1000+ and 10 TD, no other TE really has that potential.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm 100% sure that in my league VY is not picked by round 5. In almost every Mock I was in (12 teams), he wasn't picked at all (10 rounds). You think he can do better then Leinart ? Man Leinart looked so sick in the preseason. I think this year he busts out. VY has nobody to pass to

Barber as a 3rd I agree. but he's gonna get his 10+ TD's again I think. Just sucks having a guy that shares the load

I easily take Young over Leinart.

Looking at the fantasy points for last year, the gap between Gates and say Shockey/Winslow is not that big ! I see zero merit in drafting Gates that early.

The absolute difference between Gates and Shockey is small, the percent difference is big. That's why he's drafted so early. The difference in Yahoo is only 15 points but it projects Gates to get 145 while Crumpler will get 131 (seems high for him) but that's a difference of almost 10%. Gates is also a lot better than the #10 TE and #5 TE

Projections are 145 for Gates, 111 for the #5 TE (23%) and 93 (36%) for the #10 TE
QB:

Difference between Peyton, Carson and Brees is not that much. I have a slightly modified scoring system. 1 pt per 25 yards and 6 for TD.

Yahoo projects 306 points for Manning, 304 for Brees and 290 for Carson. Difference of 5% in comparing the #1 and #3.

#5 QB-269 (12%), #10 QB-247(19%)

WR:

CJ-201
Ss-201
MH-206

2.5% difference between the top 3.

RB-

Won't go into the analysis but LT vs #2 is greatest then at any position for projection.

K-Not much difference between #1 and #10.

Def-Slight difference between Ravens and Chicago and the rest of the top 10 Ds but not as big as RB.

What does everyone think about Culpepper? I think he might have a pretty big year.

Not even named the starter yet, but he's definitely been impressive in the pre-season. I'm thinking of picking him up once he's named starter. I have a empty roster spot and #1 waiver priority. But, it's the raiders, so......

QB) Leinart. SF improved Def, but they were horrible last year, and even as a Niners fan I'm still not sold they can stop the pass. They are a great fantasy matchup until proven otherwise. On the other hand Oakland was great against the pass last year and should stay that way.

RB) Ronnie Brown. Starter, Wash should be a good matchup for RBs.

WR) This I'm not sure. As of now I'd start DJax

TE) Flip a coin? I'm not even sure who Pollard plays for I think it will be tough to predict how much action Olsen will get either

Week 1 questions:

Leinart or Cutler (at 49ers, Bills)
Clayton or Edwards (at Bengals, vs Steelers)

Pretty much set on Leinart but unsure on the WR choice

Any major injuries I missed the past two weeks? I've been slightly out of the loop for bit moving into new house.
