Seek shelter on any foot-high dirt mounds you find in the yard. The ants won't go on those, they're like sacred mountains to them. If you do see any ants near the dirt mounds, rip out giant chunks of the dirt mound and rub it all over your body. This will protect you. Try to be as naked as possible. Fire ants don't like bare skin. If you manage to get your naked body covered with fire ants somehow, put all your clothes back on and walk calmly to the nearest hospital. Don't run or drive, this will only agitate the ants. Good luck! |
