Short stack is about to go out. I was probably in a bad situation against SB. I wanted to play the short stack AIPF with this hand. Not the SB. That is why I didn't go all in.

[/ QUOTE ]Like I said, unless the SB is a muppet, he's shoving ATC vs. you here. Push or fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow...I'm glad I don't play sngs anymore. If, in fact, only the worse players at the $6.50s don't know to shove any two here, you sng players are in trouble.

When I left the $109s at party in late November, there were very few capable of shoving any two here.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is not push ATC! With the big stack still to act you have to be careful. However, AT is a hand to push with here, but it is also at the low end of the range to push (but +cev of 0.99 to push ATs here)... A9o is a fold (according to SnGwiz...)

Wickss, you s/b in push/fold mode. You don't have enough chips to "play poker" and raise here. You lose valuable fold equity when you play this way.

[/ QUOTE ]I think people were saying ATC shove for SB

Josem = the new Slacker. Take your throne back Slack.

[/ QUOTE ]
You might be correct, this time Mr. Josem,
It's clear that you know how to play no limit holdem.

But what you are missing my friend with your ish,
Sometimes at this level, they all aren't a fish.

Small blind got his big stack by working the table,
And making good choices, despite Wickss' fable.

Small Blind is the bully, he has all the clout,
And isn't afraid to tell Wickss "Get OUT!"

When min-raising is right, I really don't know,
But I'm not gonna do it, not here that's fo sho.

So folding is right in this sticky spot,
Min-raising is dumb so our Hero got caught.

The moral, my friend (and inferior poet),
Is that Wickss should have known
that he just has to fold it.

Now go back to your foosball, your soccer or pool,
You know for a fact that I'd take you to school.

beatiful poem...
except Wickks needs to push,
no room in SNG's for being a wuss,
so take off your maxi
or you'll be driving a taxi

yea, I gathered that after I posted... and they're right. If I see someone raise, and I am big stack, it looks to me like they are covering their @$$ and I shove ATC too

It took me about 3 hours to read from the beginning to here, and it was one of the most rewarding reads I've had in a while. & FWIW;

Wickss, you are my hero. I hope you grind all the way to the top... I'll be doing the same as you (different site, and can't quit my job JUST yet), & hopefully one day we'll share crazy stories about grinding our way through all the Nay-Sayers.

The world would be so much more fun if there were more people like yourself, & of course the man behind the man, The DON.

[/ QUOTE ]this is definitely a leak, one that webguysteve helped me plug in my own game. at best, you're 50/50 here. no reason to help those not in the hand which is all you're doing and risking a really sweet chip stack. while I haven't run the numbers, I doubt this is much +EV versus ATC.

I think I need to change something on my heads up play. With equal stacks and blinds at t600, I try to play poker and limp too much from the button. I often get raised. Should I limp/reraise with stronger holdings, shove marginal holdings and fold bad cards?

Is trying to see a flop better with blinds at t400?
