my understanding is that he isn't playing well. Does Fergie expect other managers to play players, no matter what?

Man U find a 4th striker. Only it's a little baffling to me why they'd choose him over whatever other options are out there.

i don't get this one either, especially with smith looking like he'll be back sooner then later and rossi coming back from loan. I think this may have to do with the fact that Juve are refusing to sell any players in the jan window, so Trezeguet is ruled out. I also doubt that we'll be able to get David Villa or Torres because moves of that type don't happen that much at the jan window. To be honest, I'd rather see ManU make a move for a good player from the championship and give him a go at the prem

I heard the other day that Villa's buyout is like 100M GBP. That's gigantic, would Man Utd even consider that? Torres is so much cheaper.

A loan is obviously supposed to help out both teams... the loaning team lets a young developing player see more playing time/ seasoning in the league to help reach his potential... and the team that receives the player should get a boost to their squad w/o spending alot of money...

Rossi was a very sought after player... more than one Prem team wanted to take him on loan... and Fergie and the Rodent apparently had an agreement (there are numerous quotes on the internet verifying this) that he would see significant playing time with the barcodes... do you think we would have loaned him out if we knew he wasn't even going to be on the [censored] bench most of the time... with the lack of depth in our squad at the moment he would be on our bench EVERY GAME and would have seen a similar amount of time while training with our first team...

It has been a disaster and it's not Rossi's fault... I just hope it doesn't dent his confidence and slow his development

no it's more of an informal thing... but this will certainly hurt relations between the clubs and you can bet they won't see another promising united player for a long time

until Glenn [censored] Roder (sp?) is gone anyway... Rossi is our number one attacking prospect right now and it is criminal that he is not getting time on that pathetic team... SAF and Roon have said plenty of times he's the best finisher at the club...
