I used Idleminer for a while. My computer had an odd problem shortly after I started using it. My USB ports stopped working (some of you might remember me posting questions about this problem).

I couldnt imagine that program causing a problem like that, but I tried everything else before uninstalling Idleminer. The USBs worked again. Just to be sure what was causing the problems, I re-installed it and the problems happened again. Since I uninstalled Idleminer for the last time, I have not had the USB problem.

Thanks for the links and recommendations Josem. It never ocurred to me that there might be good mining programs available after that fiasco.

I 2nd that thanks to Josem. I don't data mine all that much since its not worth it at 25nl but I do load up 16 tables sometimes when I'm going out for the night at 50nl. An automatic table opener would be of great use.
