4_2_it - you can die for introducing me to Civ 4 k thx. Been playing it for [censored] hours now. Also, what is different from Civ 3 wrt the combat? Feels really different but I can't put my finger on it. My armies are getting totally raped trying to take cities.

lol sick, gonna be flipping between that game and the sox tonight. been rooting for usf for the past couple years as i was looking to go there, since two of my best friends go to UTampa and it's like 10 mins away. also, they are just pretty much "unknown" and gotta love the underdog (even though they are #2 in the country right now heh)

I think I remember scouting being much more important in this one. You have to strategically move your armies now, not just bunch them all up together onto one square.

You should definitely have some siege tech to attack cities.

Also, this game focuses much more on making "good" cities. Quality over quantity. Getting a balanced access to resources and proper square development is more important than massing cities.

Jay,

Check out the defense bonuses that cities provide. You need catapult/artillery to take on cities. Also, specializing units is key.

They might be overrated, but seeing as how i'm a wvu fan, I pray to the good lord above they win...

rice is sick. i can def admit that. i think the big east as a whole is somewhat weak, but it seems that way for alot of conferences. UsF has a pretty nasty d though, i think they should shut down rice pretty well.

IIRC , rutgers lost alot of their OL this year.
