[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Hands down the correct answer is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. [/ QUOTE ] great book. terrible movie. (and I'm not usually a "the book was much better" kind of guy) [/ QUOTE ] You are an idiot. The book and movie are nearly identical. [/ QUOTE ] There are plenty of parts from the book that are not in the movie, some that were significantly changed, and others that take place in quite a different order. The movie is fine as a movie, I love watching it. However the book is much better. [/ QUOTE ] No dice. The movie is remarkably close to the book. To bring in a "the book was good but the movie wasn't as good" arguement is retarted. Yes. That's right. Retarted. |

Anything by David Lynch
2001 The Wall Baraka That new Led Zeppelin DVD Various experimental films you wouldn't know Black Belt Jones (this is a blaxploitation kung-fu movie I saw when I was a college freshman when I was incredibly stoned. I was convinced that Hollywood had spent $100M+ on this because no one could have accidentaly made such a ridiculous movie.) This isn't a movie, but when I was arguably the highest I've ever been, I watch the Fresh Prince and decided it was a complex allegory in which Uncle Phil was Yaweh, Will Smith was Satan, and Carlton was Jesus, trapped between them. Also, it was in 3-D. |

The movie was merely good or between good and great. You are free to disagree, but that's just, like, your opinion, man. |

Toppermost for weird must be back-to-back episodes of the English TV series 'League of Gentlemen'
IF you were to watch that stoned, I think the effects would be permanent (League of Gentleman makes Eraserhead look like Bambi) |

I know this post hasn't been updated in months now... but I'm about to get stoned and wanted to get some ideas. I remember reading this post a while back.
My recommendations: Lion King (so many great scenes, the musicals are awesome, and it's so color) Aladdin (the musicals... that's all I have to say) Kids Bully (same director as Kids) Memento (great mind-[censored], especially when you understand what's really going on) Old School (simply hilarious) |
