[/ QUOTE ] I don't know my way around the city that terribly well but I have been there a few times and definitely liked it better than a lot of cities I've been to. Squirrel Hill area was very enjoyable and I liked the people there a ton as well. I much prefer the people and feel of the northern and midwestern U.S. Just friendlier in general in my experience. If I had my choice of U.S. places for our tour we would be hitting Seattle, Madison, Chicago, Boston, small-town New England perhaps in NH, VT or ME and Washington DC. Anyway, since we're probably not hitting many of those northern cities I'll take what I can get and Pittsburgh works decently enough for me. Otherwise it'll be a little harder, at least based on this friendly "Does Canada Want You?" quiz. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigra...sess/index.asp The only other thing to add to the above discussion is that Chicago can, and does, get very hot in the summer, although usually only for a few weeks at a time. Depending on how much you hate the heat, this could be a factor. Also, despite being diverse as a city, it is quite segregated by neighborhood. Still, it is a great city.

My sources say SD is as follows: White: 49% Latino: 25% Asian: 14% Black: 8% Other: 4%
