I could see a show, sort of like Mythbusters, where they test stuff like this out as best they can w/o hurting anyone. Maybe it would only appeal to nerds, but I think it could be pretty cool.

Humans win 100% percent of the time. They just onside kick the ball and tackle the dog immediately.

Right, but in my version of this game the players can't strike the dog or tackle it. They just have to get a hold of it so it can't run anymore - w/o hurting it. The only danger I could see is maybe someone falling on the dog. But that would pretty unlikely.

Your hypothetical tackle doesn't matter - the dog is taking it the distance.

Agreed, if onside kicks are allowed, there is almost no way the NFL team loses.

Not going to happen with NFL, but there should be some connections on this board to a D-1 school( yes, I know overall team speed suffers but get over it nit). Get the dog trained, take a couple of minutes during practice. Place your bets.

LOL at losing starters to injuries from tackling a dog.
