Suzzer, if you lost 30 pounds you would not need to post this thread.

I really don't think that's it. I think Yugo hit the nail on the head. It's his head that's holding him back, not his body.

suzzler, if that second pic was shot anytime recently, you should be fine. Having something of a gut is fine. I think it was Yugo who pointed out that looks are overrated as a factor of attractiveness - and it's true, after all look at some of the PUA dweebs that pull tons of hot ass and aren't tall, aren't muscular, and aren't particularly good looking.

Just a thought mang. We're pulling for you.

EDIT: but bison, if you're saying that losing the thirty pounds would give him the confidence to ask for the number (instead of giving her his), then that makes sense obv and I suck at interpreting your post.

I think being aggressive in picking up girls works. Lots of people are passive calling stations with like 'oh here is my number'

But as we learned from poker, aggression is superior. It gives you several chances to win: First, she can fold ("Let's have sex now!") Secondly, she can call and give you a free card ("Here's my business card"). Thirdly, you will get the initiative and be able to dictate the play for the rest of the hand ("Where should we go to eat?")

As poker players, we know that a lot of the time, continuation bets like this work out. The small amount of times that you get raised, you can easily fold.

garcia1000,

I find your poker-related analogies intriguing, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I don't have a newsletter, but I have a weekly comic strip that I post here!

Also, to OP, I agree with you that even dumb jokes can be hilarious. It's all in the delivery. For example, recently I told a joke to an attractive female I had only met for a few minutes.

It was something like, "My dog has no nose." And then she said "Really?!"

Well that's not exactly the right setup for the punch line, but I managed to save it by saying "Yeah, and he smells awful!"

Then I kept a straight face and she laughed at it. So yeah, even bad jokes can work.

(I got vibes that she totally wanted me, but I have a girlfriend)

I think you probably blew it by giving her your number instead of getting hers.

Yes, if he corrected his internal issues he could put on another 30 and do far better than now.

From these few posts, I think it is clear that some of the basic PUA concepts would tremendously help him. As others have accurately pointed out regarding such techniques, it's not the specific techniques but one's own expectation of success which are key.

Also I'm glad someone pulled out the [censored] it, I'm going deep
reference. OP could benefit from periodically following that strategy.
