OK, the first thing I noticed about your example schedule is that there isn't a single NLH event in the ENTIRE FIRST WEEK. Try again.

i think 30 mins levels are way too long for 215 events. Either use a sliding scale of 15 mins for 215, 20 mins for 530 and 30 mins for above or 20/30/45 etc if you want people to play longer than normal (and perhaps make the big events 2 days).

Last year i thought that the events were simply starting and finishing too late, and you need to do something about that or a lot of people wont play as much as theyd like to - either start earlier, shorten the small events, or go to 2 days on the biggest. Preferably all three...

For events that are expected to be very long, late registration should be open for a full one hour. This way, players can join in an hour late, and it can still finish at a reasonable time. It is really bad that Stars has to consider starting a tournament at 430pm when they know it will end past 6am, because they want to get as many entrants as possible, and not miss people coming home from work. Both the 2005 and 2006 Main Events' of WCOOP started at 430pm and ended past 6am. It would be better if it ended at 5am instead.

What do you mean? In the actual WCOOP schedule in OP, there are 2 NLH events in the first week; 16th of sunday and the 20th of thursday. In my example schedule, there are 3 NLH events, on the 14th, 15th, and 16th (the Fri-Sun weekend.)

I agree that even more NLHE events should be added and fill the overcard of the 17th-20th. I'd like to see different formats. Some are restricted by software though. A 4max tourney probably can't be done. Maybe a format with no blinds, and just antes? (I'm just throwing ideas around.)

also wcoop aside, can you start a weekly 215 TD event and consider a monthly big HORSE event (eg 1k)?

thanks

I like the newer seperate round satellite structure for the Sunday million. I think by providing "step" qualifying levels like the one for the Million will encourage more people to play.

For example...

For a $215 event you could use the 4.40 rebuy turbos into $55 round twos, which can satellite people into the bigger events.

For a $530 event you could do something like:

$8.80 rebuy into $110 round two OR

$15+1 freezeout into a $105 round two

For the people with bankrolls in the low to micro level, I think providing satellites with multiple steps are more attractive and would make more people play them, and thus, increase the prize pools in the main events.

Use a good structure like the one used for the sunday million but with slower levels. (big antes)

I would like to see at least 1 more 6max NLHE event.

The first 3 events are pretty lame. If a game will only attract enough for a 100k guarantee it should be left out IMO. The WCOOP is too rare to waste events on games that very few people play or care about.

A NL 2-7 single draw event would be great.

I mean, in the first seven days on your proposed schedule, there's no NLH.

And yeah, I think it's pretty bad that the WCOOP doesn't have much at the start, either. They should take a page from the WSOP and have like a kickoff NLHE event with a relatively smallish buyin and a nice guarantee.
