Re: How to become rich....
starting a business may be -ev for the entire group of 'entrepreneurs' just like poker is as well (and always will be -ev for the entire group due to rake)
but that doesn't make it -ev to play poker...u just have to learn how to make +ev moves, just like entreprenuers wanna make +ev moves |

Re: How to become rich....
[ QUOTE ]
h, "I don't understand how you could get rich without being an entrepreneur" Join a young company early and have lots of stock options or work up the ranks for 10 years or so at a growing public company. [/ QUOTE ] QFT here. I worked at Wal-Mart store #11 in high school in the early 80's. 'Associates' who were piling up company stock then, are doing quite well now. Maybe not filthy, Larry Ellison rich, but they damn sure ain't living in trailers any more. |

Re: How to become rich....
2 years ago a school teacher died; he had never made more than 40k/year, but he left over a million upon his death; of course, he also ate expired canned food regularly and never spent any money...
but u can work a job never making 6-figures and grow wealth...save a healthy portion of it; invest wisely in stocks or real estate...build your own home in an area where cost to develop <<< cost to buy...instant equity...lots of things u can do to get your net worth in the millions of course, getting a high paying executive job, or creating passive income makes it easier...and the more leverage you can get, they more you can make |

Re: How to become rich....
if making money was someone's biggest goal, they might want to consider learning a forigen language and moving to a developing country.
For example, Vietnam might grow at 9% annually for the next 20 years and become the next South Korea and there are probably a number of businesses there which do not exist yet because of a lack of demand. |
