Re: Official 2007 NHL Offseason Thread
We are going to take a kid that we could have picked at #44.

OH GOD, PLEASE SAY IT'S NOT TRUE.... We get #9 for..... #13 (there goes Tavares) #44, and 3rd round pick. DID I NOT SAY WE WOULD DO THIS? We could have traded all of those for LA/BOS... wtf is going on. [/ QUOTE ] Holy crap...yeah, they could have definitely had the King's pick for that price. They must really want someone to move 4 spots. |

Is Couture worth that much? Did St Louise get the 3 picks including #13?

Re: Official 2007 NHL Offseason Thread
Not sure if he'd easily be there. Would have been close. With the conditional nature of the pick, I would have taken a shot at it though.
BTW, is St. Louis planning to draft a whole team from this year's draft? They've got a [censored] of picks, 3 in the first round. |

Re: Official 2007 NHL Offseason Thread
The Russian, Cherepanov, is dropping pretty far. He had a better rookie year in the Russian league than Ovechkin, Kovy, and Malkin.
Even if he made it to #16, Burke hates Russians. I think the Ducks pick is going to barely be after all the decent guys are gone. Maybe they can find a gem. |

Yeah, I think the NHL-Russian League transfer conflict is scaring a lot of these teams.
