Don't touch the ride on it, it's a Bentley!!
As for the rims, unless you are planning on driving like a retard it shouldn't be that big of a deal to keep them pretty. The only thing you have to watch for generally is car washes, make sure that they don't run it through the, mechanical guide that most of them have, because your standard 22" rim gets jacked up. And FWIW I would change out the rims, check out Lowenhart Rims for some pretty sick stuff. My business partner had a black z8, that he did up with Lowenhart 22's that were chrome n black that looked absolutley sick. Beside the fact with the scratch your pullin in, just have a mobile detail service come by. They'll come by once a week when you want them to, and that way the new whip always looks sweet!!
